Kazakhstan Triathlon Federation resumes implementation of the club system
In 2021, KTF resumes the implementation of the club system within the TEMIRADAM Cup (hereinafter - the Cup). Now Kazakhstani triathlon clubs will receive a separate platform for the development of healthy competition and cooperation. It is expected that the introduction of the club system will give an impetus to the development of club culture in the Kazakhstani triathlon. Below we will tell you about some of the features of the innovation.
Registration
The representative of the club sends an application for participation until February 21, 2021. When registering, the club pays an annual registration fee. The club's annual fee in 2021 is 50,000 tenge. This amount is paid once at the start of the season. All club registration fees are allocated to the prize pool. After registering, the club gets access to a personal account on the KTF official website. Registration of club members will be available through the personal account. Each club gets the option of early redemption of seven slots to participate in a separate competition. Reserved slots must be purchased no later than 30 calendar days before the event. All slots not redeemed on time will be shared. Representatives of the PRO athletes will be registered according to the current ranking:
- for men top 35;
- for women top 15.
Participation criteria
Each club member must have a valid KTF triathlete license of the appropriate category (Age Group, PRO). Each club must have:
- common form (trisuit);
- Parad form with the club logo;
- own landing page, where information about the club will be posted.
Participants
Up to four PRO category athletes representing one club can take part in a single stage of the Cup. The number of representatives of one Age Group category club embers in one stage is not limited. There are also no restrictions on the gender of the participants. You cannot transfer from one club to another during one season. It is forbidden to be in two or more clubs at the same time. A member who was not a member of any club can join the desired club at any time of the season.
PRO category
Athletes in the PRO category are professional athletes participating in the KTF National ranking and club systems, who are not eligible to participate in the Age Group category. In 2021, PRO category athletes from foreign countries are not allowed to participate in the Cup.
Ranking points
Ranking points for the Cup stage are awarded only if at least seven representatives of the club participate, regardless of their categories. If more than seven athletes participate in a single stage of the Cup from one club, then points are awarded to the top-7. Below are three scenarios for earning ranking points:
- No more than two (out of four possible) PRO club members with the highest number of points, and no more than five Age Group club members.
- One (out of four possible) club member with the highest number of points in the PRO category, and no more than six Age Group club members with the highest points.
- No more than seven Age Group category club members with the highest number of points.
TEMIRADAM Cup final
Clubs that have participated in at least half of the Cup stages during one competitive season are allowed to the final. The club with the highest number of ranking points at the end of the year becomes the winner of the Cup.
Awarding
In 2021, the amount of prize money for top-5 PRO Men of EACH STAGE of the Cup, is:
- 86,000 (eighty six thousand) tenge;
- 64,500 (sixty-four thousand five hundred) tenge;
- 51 600 (fifty-one thousand six hundred) tenge;
- 43,000 (forty-three thousand) tenge;
- 34 400 (thirty-four thousand four hundred) tenge.
The prize money for top-3 women of EACH STAGE is:
- 86,000 (eighty six thousand) tenge;
- 51 600 (fifty-one thousand six hundred) tenge;
- 34 400 (thirty-four thousand four hundred) tenge.
Top-5 men by THE RESULTS OF THE YEAR:
- 860,000 (eight hundred sixty thousand) tenge;
- 752,500 (seven hundred fifty-two thousand five hundred) tenge;
- 645,000 (six hundred forty-five thousand) tenge;
- 537,500 (five hundred thirty-seven thousand five hundred) tenge;
- 430,000 (four hundred thirty thousand) tenge.
Top-3 woman by THE RESULTS OF THE YEAR will be paid the following prize money:
- 860,000 (eight hundred sixty thousand) tenge;
- 645,000 (six hundred forty-five thousand) tenge;
- 430,000 (four hundred thirty thousand) tenge.
