Anuar Turubayev, a member of the Almaty Triathlon Federation team, is going to Japan!
On April 23-25, the 2021 Asia Triathlon Championships Hatsukaichi will be held in the Japanese city of Hatsukaichi. More than 50 triathletes from Japan, Iran, Uzbekistan, Syria, the Philippines, South Korea, Hong Kong, China, Mongolia, Kazakhstan will take part in the competition.
We are very proud to announce that a representative of the Almaty Triathlon Federation (ATF) will also take part in the championship. According to the decision of the NOC of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Kazakhstan Triathlon Federation, Almaty athlete Anuar Turubayev is going to Hatsukaichi as a member of the national triathlon team of the Republic of Kazakhstan! Together with him, Arina Shulgina, Ekaterina Shabalina, Ayan Beisenbayev, Daryn Konysbayev, Alexandr Avtushko and Semen Pivovarov are going to win.
Anuar will turn 27 years old in May, he is a candidate for Master of Sports in Water polo and Master of Sports in triathlon. He is a multiple medalist and winner of many national and international competitions. In 2019, under the leadership of ATF head coach Maxim Mazur, Turubayev became the winner of the Republic of Kazakhstan Cup stage at the distance «Sprint».
Before leaving for Japan, Anuar admitted that, although it is the first time he participates in such major competitions, he does not feel fear of famous rivals. "Of course, it will not be easy, because my competitors will be such powerful athletes as Ren Sato from Japan, Oscar Coggins from Hong Kong and others. But nothing! Let's show them what Kazakhstanis can do!"
